| Biofilms are communities of bacterial cells that are attached to a special surface,and cells are embedded in a matrix which is called extracellular polymeric substance.Recently,the structural and developmental complexity of biofilm,and its significance in natural and man-made environments,have been increasingly appreciated.The progress of investigations on the structure and formation is introduced in this paper. |
