| Abstract: |
| Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a major cause of viral lower respiratory tract infections among infants and young children throughtout the world. There is no safe and effective RSV vaccine to protect infants from infection. Passive immunoprophylaxis presents a viable alternative to active immunization. Monoclonal antibody(McAb) appears to add a powerful tool for the study of RSV infection. This article is a review on the application of McAb in RSV rapid diagnosis and immunoprophylaxis. |
